Over 20 years AEGEE has changed the face of Europe, put a human face on European integration, and made the European idea real for hundreds of thousands of young Europeans. From the Erasmus Mobility Scheme for European students to the Expansion to the East.

How comes that this fantastic satellite event remains as a 'one-night stand'?

EGEE held its 'Night of Europe', linking 7 cities by satellite. The transmission lasted for 4 hours and was witnessed by 4500 students; a unique occasion in that the television and telecommunication companies of Europe worked together without money changing hands.

The AEGEE Election Observation Mission went back to where it all started: Ukraine.
After previous EOM actions in Ukraine, Albania and Azerbijan, this EOM was organised within the framework of AEGEE's flagship project of 2006: "Take Control, ways to democracy in Europe".

This movie is the result of filming during the events of the Phare & Tacis Democracy Programme project 'Find your way to and within an open society'. This project was the yearplan topic of AEGEE-Europe in 1996 and took place in 9 cities around Europe. In total over 1300 students participated in these events.
