AEGEE.tv is a project of AEGEE-Europe. Main fields of actionIf we look at the main activities of AEGEE we find four pillars: | Higher education
| | Peace & stability
| | Cultural exchange
| | Active citizenship |
Within the field of Peace & Stability is the diffusion of information on democracy, tolerance and transparency very important. Media plays a key role in this. Television, radio, printed media and internet are of great imporance for stimulating democracy in Europe and for supporting its citizins in building a civil society. AEGEE and MediaAEGEE has a great variety in printed media, we are active on the internet since 1988 and since 1998 we have AEGEE radio on the internet. This year we want to add internet television and with the founding of www.aegee.tv we make the first step. AEGEE is rich in journalists, editors, communcation experts, cineasts and media wizards. We have the possibilities to create a pan European internet television station. A place where students and young profesionals can experiment with media. A place where you can find out wh at media can do, a place where you can see what impact you can have. We want to see a platform where we show documentaries, news, short films and entertainment. A place where we can meet each other and learn everything there is to know about creating television. Own ideasWe have our own ideas what to make and how to make it. We have experienced this at the Agora's in Amsterdam and Athens and we've seen how enthousiastic people are getting. And we'll continue doing this, with over 50 people, AEGEE.tv is a fast growing new thing in AEGEE. Next year we will attend many events, organise several MediaSchools and film in multiple projects. We will be working in regional teams in many places around Europe to make:
AEGEE.tv

It started in 2000 when a good friend of me was not getting married to his girlfriend of AEGEE-Kopenhagen. The entire non wedding took place in Kopenhagen but before we surprised him with a non bachelor party. For this reason I bought a camera to tape the embarassing moments.
